Get to know NCBN member Tami Cunningham of Gifting Sweet

1. How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging for my own blog about two years but I blogged (and still do!) for work too. My day job is completely different from my blog so you probably won’t stumble upon any of my work blogging. :)

2. What do you blog about? 

I blog about all aspects of gift giving – from gift ideas to gift wrap to celebrations and decorating.

3. Why did you start blogging?

Since I was a little girl I always loved giving gifts more than getting them. People would come to me all the time and ask for suggestions. I started to wonder if maybe I could help more people – if maybe I could do this on a larger scale. That’s how Gifting Sweet was born.

4.  What is your FAVORITE post you’ve ever written (you can pick 2)?

This one from the beginning of the year is one of my favorites because I get totally honest about having a January birthday. With a blog about gift giving you could easily convince yourself to be happy and positive all the time but that’s not the truth. 5.  What blog do you love? 

One of the few blogs I truly read as it comes out is Dream Green DIY. I also LOVE HuffPost Good News. It’s so easy to get bogged down in bad news or celebrity slime (guilty!) but so many of the stories on HuffPost Good News are really uplifting and truly restore your faith in humanity.

6. What is your biggest piece of advice for other bloggers?

Oh man. I’d say be ready to learn, test and fail repeatedly. In fact, enjoy that aspect of it because it’s the biggest learning curve you’ll ever ride.

7.  What are you looking forward to for you as a blogger in the upcoming months (conferences, big blog release, book release, publishing, community, redesign, new content, etc)? 

I am really looking forward to meeting some of my NC Blogger friends! I’m also booked for Mom2.0 (can’t WAIT!) and I have a ticket for The Influence Network Conference too. Also, I’ll be releasing an easy-to-download “gift planner” soon. It’s not just for the holidays – it will help you organize and stay on top of all your friends and loved ones’ special days.
