Get to know Haley of Leadership Girl
1. How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging about 2 years now.
2. What do you blog about?
I blog about Women in Leadership, and entrepreneurship, and balancing life, and career. I also have a second blog, which is about Home care, and being in the sandwich generation.
3. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging when I was at Duke when I was working on my MBA in the weekend executive program. I noticed how few women are in the program, and how few women are in leadership roles, in technology fields, and are entrepreneurs. Did you know that only 10% of my class at Fuqua was women? This was in 2012! And only 5% of Entrepreneurs are women? Only about 11% of engineering majors are women?
4. What is your FAVORITE post you’ve ever written (you can pick 2)?
I’ve interviewed a number of my working mom friends, and have loved the results- It is great to spotlight real women!
5. What blog do you love?
Kim Six Fix http://www.thekimsixfix.com/
6. What is your biggest piece of advice for other bloggers?
Keep at it, and keep trying different things.
7. What are you looking forward to for you as a blogger in the upcoming months (conferences, big blog release, book release, publishing, community, redesign, new content, etc)?
I am going to be launching a new Entrepreneurship Course, which is a basic Entrepreneurship and setting up a business course, through LeadershipGirl.
My first book was published in October, and is now an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories: “Choosing a Caregiver” on choosing an in-home caregiver.
I am working on my second book, which should be out later this year.
I’m also on WPTF 680 AM on Saturday mornings at 7:00 AM- Eye on Health. Podcasts will be available soon!
Visit Andrea online and show her some North Carolina love.

And then anything else you might want to add that you want people to know about you – professional affiliations, any other place they can find you, etc.
I’m also a Certified Senior Advisor, and really would like the opportunity to help people out when they are looking for care for a loved one. I am the owner of Care Patrol of the Triangle as well- We help families find assisted living, independent living, memory care, and in-home care.
