{Meet} Donnarie and Practically an Adult

1. How long have you been blogging?

December will mark my one year anniversary.

2. What do you blog about?

The daily struggle of maintaining an adult persona.  I’m a working mom trying to be the best mom and wife I can while achieving my dream career.  What does that mean?  Accomplishing business meetings, work travel, carpool, and getting dinner on the table while keeping a smile on my face.

3. Where are you blogging from in NC?

Originally from the Coastal Plains I have recently moved to Raleigh. #NCNative

4. Why did you start blogging?  

I started out seeking working mom blogs documenting their struggle of maintaining the perfect balance of career and family….those blogs were far and few between so I thought, hey why not me?

5. Out of all the posts you’ve written, which one (or two) would you pick as your favorite?

When the D became Important and Summer Supper Remix, because not everything has to be so serious.

6. What blog(s) do you love?

How Do I Grown Up, Tell It Slant Mama, and Mom in Chapel Hill

7. What’s one piece of advice you’d share with your fellow bloggers?  

Never let your blog feel like work.  Forced blogging is the worst blogging (for you and the reader).

8. What are you looking forward to as a blogger in the upcoming months (conferences, big blog release, book release, publishing, community, redesign, new content, etc)?

Simply growing my audience.  I love the feedback I get from people going through similar experiences.  That’s why I started this journey, to find people going through similar things.
