Last weekend I had a chance to stop by Bottle Revolution located at 4025 Lake Boone Trail, Raleigh, NC. (It’s across the street from Rex Hospital located next to the Guasaca Arepa and Salsa Grill I wrote about a few months ago if you follow me.) I was on a mission to purchase beer that was only brewed in North Carolinasince Raleigh Beer Week was coming to an end. I made a point to choose beers that I knew we haven’t already tried but figured my husband and I would enjoy taste testing!
I initially thought I would stick with six but, as you can see, I purchased nine beers instead. I love craft beer because it is unlike any other popular beer that I previously thought was tasty. I won’t name any names but sometimes I watch these mainstream beer commercials and say “that’s definitely not real beer, it tastes more like water than beer.” Out of my top 4 favorites, 3 of them happen to be from Asheville, NC…
{Click here to read more from All Things Raleigh on the new craft beer culture in North Carolina.}
But you tell us – what is your favorite craft beer? And are they all really in Asheville, NC?

I don’t actually drink beer, which is kind of a sin living in Asheville. My husband loves Highland – almost all of the beers produced by Highland. Also, it’s fun seeing our beers in other cities. Makes me a little more proud to be from Beer City (says the non-beer drinker.) :)

HA! I thought you have to drink beer as a prerequisite to live in Asheville.:) My husband wants to live in Asheville so badly : it is the mountain biking/beer brewing mecca. Both things in life that make him so happy.
