A few months ago, I was explaining to a fellow marketer about the pain points of the conference attendee and how speakers can alleviate them with social media. It’s simple really. Intend to answer the questions that are weighing on the mind of your audience. Each attendee has 2 or 3 key questions coming into a presentation. These questions hold weight because if you can find the answer through a simple google search, then they would not be motivated to spend hundreds of dollars to hear you speak on the calculated chance that you may answer their questions. Most of the time it can be a crap shoot as to what session and track to pick. Several considerations come into play. The title of the presentation, the reputation of the speaker and the potential of the always dreaded sales pitch hidden in a speech session.
