NCBN Welcomes Professional Photographer Allie Miller to the Leadership Team

We’re thrilled to welcome professional photographer, Allie Miller, to the NC Blogger Network leadership team. Allie joins us as our Photo Journalist and she’s already sharing her talents. She captured some great shots at the recent VendRaleigh event we attended, and our eCourse workshop and meet up on Wednesday, at Sola Coffee Cafe.

1. How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging for roughly 2 years now.

2. What do you blog about?

I blog about my work as a professional photographer and the business of photography. I offer tips and suggestions and explain the importance of hiring a professional for important events.

3. Where are you blogging from in NC?

I blog from the beautiful Crystal Coast. Is there anything better than blogging by the beach?

4. Why did you start blogging?  

To share my passion, educate other about various topics related to photography and to drive traffic to my website. I love meeting new people and sharing my passion with them.

5. Out of all the posts you’ve written, which one (or two) would you pick as your favorite?

I’d have to say it was this Summer’s post on my experience with the Little Pink Houses of Hope Foundation. It was such a moving experience. If you’re not familiar with the organization, you’ve got to check them out and get involved where you can.

6. What blog(s) do you love?

I really enjoy Fstoppers. If you have a passion for photography, this is the blog for you!

7. What’s one piece of advice you’d share with your fellow bloggers?  

I’d say… Do your own thing, be transparent and blog relevant topics that identify you and your passion.

8. What are you looking forward to as a blogger in the upcoming months (conferences, big blog release, book release, publishing, community, redesign, new content, etc)?

I am looking forward to PPA’s Imaging USA & Shutter Fest in St Louis, MI  2016!

And finally, is there anything else you’d like to add that you want people to know about you – professional affiliations, any other place they can find you, etc?  Yes, absolutely! I’m an active member of Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Photography International. I’m from Miami and I love telling stories through the images I take. For me, photography takes a symbolic form. One image can compliment the story, whether it’s being lived at the moment, or later on when that one story is told. I love what I do and I enjoy meeting amazing people and getting to know their story. I’m a pet and nature lover, an adventure seeker and I take pleasure in trying new foods. I especially enjoy a good cup of coffee, meditation, reading and inspiring others!
