Jesus: The Key to Everything – SERMON NOTES
Follow along today in Hebrews 11:1-3
Whatâs the key to success in this life? What would you say if I told you that the key to success in this life is really just one thing? Jesus: The key to everything!
The Key to Everything
1. __________ is the key to everything!
Hebrews 10:32â36 â 32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferingsâŚ35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
Hebrews 11:1â3 â 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.
When we decide that we are going to depend on God, weâre going to trust what God has said about who He is and what He is doing in His creation; it enables us to answer lifeâs biggest questionsâŚWhy am I hereâWhere am I goingâWhere did I come from?
Why Am I Here?
2. Why am I here? __________ on God. Hebrews 11:1
Romans 8:24â25 â 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Genesis 2:8â9, 15-18 â 8 And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. â 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, âYou may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.â 18 Then the Lord God said, âIt is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.â
Where Am I Going?
3. Where am I going? Be _______________ by God. Hebrews 11:2
Matthew 25:21 â 21 His master said to him, âWell done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.â
2 Timothy 4:8 â 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
Where Did I Come From?
4. Where did I come from? Accept the _______________ of Godâs Word. Hebrews 11:3
2 Peter 3:5 â 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,

BEGIN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
God wants a relationship with you. Scripture says, âWhoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.â â Romans 10:13 If you would like to know Christ, all you have to do is receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ by saying a prayer of salvation. Pray this aloud: âLord Jesus, I repent of my sins. Come into my heart. Wash me clean. I make you my Lord and Savior, Amen.â We believe that if you prayed that simple prayer, you have been born again. You are starting with a clean slate, and you have entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Keep God first place in your life. Learn to pray. Prayer is simply talking to God like you would talk to a friend. Mark todayâs date; write it down in your Bible â this is the day of new beginnings in your life! God bless you!
