1. How long have you been blogging?

Hard to believe, but it’s getting close to 7 years.

2. What do you blog about?

As a dentist, I blog about nutrition, diet, oral health, how to take care of your teeth (for the whole family), the procedures that we offer (both informational and actual patients so readers can see our actual work), and even a bit of science/skeptical writing to debunk myths about food, health, etc.

3. Where are you blogging from in NC?

I am blogging right in Charlotte, North Carolina.

4. Why did you start blogging?  

Originally, it was just to help build our website for SEO purposes and be found more easily on Google, but now it’s something that I love.  It’s fun to answer people’s questions about dentistry, share what I’m learning, brag about the awesome people who work for us, and introduce new technology.

5. Out of all the posts you’ve written, which one (or two) would you pick as your favorite?

Oh wow, that’s a tough one, but if I have to pick two, it’s these:

7. What’s one piece of advice you’d share with your fellow bloggers?  

To really expand your readership, look for niche topics that are related to yours but not the same.  Finding similar but slightly different takes on topics can make your content interesting to a much bigger audience.

8. What are you looking forward to as a blogger in the upcoming months (conferences, big blog release, book release, publishing, community, redesign, new content, etc)?

Nothing in particular – just continuing to blog!
