The Beaufort Pirate Invasion is Coming
The Beaufort Pirate Invasion is almost here! Get in touch with your inner pirate and enjoy two days of piratical fun during this family-friendly event in Beaufort, NC.
This annual event highlights the rich history of pirates and privateers that have pillaged and plundered along the east coast. Celebrate Beaufort’s victory when Beaufort comes alive with living history demonstrations, sword fighting, cannon firing, black powder weapons displays, a mock trial, and hanging.
Visit with the ship’s surgeon, make baggy wrinkles, tie knots, watch tools forged over a flaming fire, and watch as pirates prepare meals, making ropes and cleaning weapons.

Activities
There are many activities for all ages, such as musical entertainment, magic shows, treasure hunts, scallywag school, children’s costume contests, storytelling, period encampments and vendors. Aspiring young pirates can enjoy spontaneous shenanigans as nefarious characters roam the streets and shops, engaging in mock battles, bursting into song, and posing for pictures.
Enjoy our famous pirate invasion battle along the Beaufort waterfront with Captain Sinbad and the Meka II and Captain Ben Bunn, and the Skipjack Ada Mae. Enjoy authentic Sea Shanties, Pirate songs by The Rusty Cutlass, Motley Tones, House of Cadarn, and Thunder and Spice.
Lunch with Pirates
Have lunch with the pirates or participate in the children’s pirate activities at the North Carolina Maritime Museum. Watch Captain Jim and Sea Shel’s famous magic show, and search for pirates around town as you capture the autographs of Beaufort’s Most Wanted Pirates. This is a family-friendly event you don’t want to miss.
