The outer label on this great big box said it was 25 lbs. (Believe me, it felt like it too when I was unloading it from the truck). We couldn’t wait to open it up and see what was inside for our troops.
What a surprise we received when we did! It contained over 450 cards, banners, phone cards and cans of nuts for our troops. This wonderful group of volunteers even got together and sent a check for $100 so we could send out even more holiday packages this year!
This amazing package was put together by several girl scout troops, pre-schools, Harrest Christian Academy, Baggaley Elementary School, Dana’s family and many friends within her community in Latrobe, PA.
What a special group of folks to do something so nice for our troops this holiday season. Our service members are going to be thrilled to know that there are so many thoughtful and caring folks thinking about them this holiday season – and always.
(Notice that each bundle is 50 cards)
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone from this community who took time from their busy schedules to be a part of making the holidays a little brighter for our troops. Thank You!
* You can still help support our troops this holiday season. Membership is not required to participate but we’d love it if you took a minute to register with eMOM to correspond with service members one-on-one. *

That’s fantastic! We feel the same way about everybody’s tremendous show of support, given the rough economy and it being so close to the Holidays. Money is tight, but the support is not! Keep up the great work!

I think sending phone cards to our troops is a great way to show them how much we appreciate them.
