InterExchange Au Pair USA is a non-profit based in Manhattan that provides cultural exchange opportunities for Host Families in the US and au pairs from 40+ countries around the world. I am the Raleigh Local Coordinator and work with the Greater Raleigh/Wake County/Clayton area.
1. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging around 2009 to share some of my writing and work I was doing at the time, but do not use it anymore. I began my Raleigh.AuPairUSA.org blog in 2014.
2. What do you blog about?
I blog about cultural exchange through the InterExchange Au Pair USA program, information for au pairs and Host Families, and cultural events and happenings around Raleigh and NC.
3. Why did you start blogging?
I started my Raleigh.AuPairUSA.org blog to share about the benefits of hosting an au pair and participating in cultural exchange with the greater Raleigh area. I want to be able to show what the au pairs are doing while they live in this area, provide ideas of things for families to do, and help the au pairs learn about this area of the world. I also hope to find new families who are interested in hosting an au pair and provide them with information about our program opportunity.
4. What is your FAVORITE post you’ve ever written (you can pick two)?
One of my favorite posts from my blog is where I did some graphics work through picmonkey.com to use my own photos and have been able to share it over and over to make things easier for my Host Families and au pairs. Also I love this post. It was fun to realize how many awesome resources we have in this area of NC to learn about all that is going on. It’s also exciting to realize just how much is actually going on here!
5. What blog do you love?
I love reading Rage Against the Minivan and Momastery in my free time.
6. What are you looking forward to for you as a blogger in the upcoming months?
I am featuring my au pairs to share their writings and insights on our blog, so I’m excited to learn from them. I am also excited about learning more about SEO and Content Marketing from my friends in the NCBN.
