Get to know Sarah of 2paws Designs
1. How long have you been blogging?
Current blog since 2007 although technically I’ve been blogging since the late 90s (well before the term existed!)
2. What do you blog about?
My crafty, DIY adventures from projects with my son to gifts for friends and house projects as we turn our foreclosure purchase into our home.
3. Why did you start blogging?
Originally to share information where there wasn’t a lot as I wrote in the late 90s about endometriosis – my personal experiences and treatment options. I took a break for a few years and picked up again writing about my crafting. That and blogging are two obsessions that tie together nicely and blogging provides a fun way to share beyond people in my day to day life.
4. What is your FAVORITE post you’ve ever written (you can pick 2)?
The Cat Drawer – A DIY idea I’m proud of coming up with on my own and helping to squeeze out a little more space in our small first house.
Class Photo Book – Kids come home from school with so much artwork. Being a crafty person myself, I find it hard to part with my son’s creations, but we can’t possibly keep them all. In this post I shared my simple steps for capturing a year full of memories, photos and artwork in a single bound book. I recently ordered and completed his final preschool book and can’t wait to find that on my doorstep!
5. What blog do you love?
Go Dansker Mom
6. What is your biggest piece of advice for other bloggers?
Blog because you enjoy it! Life is too short to do anything just because. If blogging isn’t fun, back away and reassess.
7. What are you looking forward to for you as a blogger in the upcoming months (conferences, big blog release, book release, publishing, community, redesign, new content, etc)?
I’m looking forward to my trip to Atlanta for Type-A. My 2nd overall conference and the biggest I’ve been to so far. I’m sure I can’t even begin to imagine how much I will take away from the sessions, meeting other bloggers in person (especially those I stalk online already), and brand interactions.
