How Will You Honor Them
How are you remembering our heroes this Memorial Weekend?
How will you honor them on Memorial Day?

Yesterday at my son’s baseball game I walked over to a soldier who was watching the game and said “thanks for serving our country, my whole family really appreciates it”
He seemed very surprised that someone just came up and thanked him – which makes me wonder if we’re thanking our military members enough – I know I don’t thank them as much as I should, but that’s going to change right now.
We owe our freedom to the brave souls that give so much and ask for so little in return.

My father served in the US Army, I serve in the IDF, G_d Bless the US Army. Happy Memorial Day.
May we remember with compassion those who have died
serving their countries.

I try to get out to a military cemetery at least once over the weekend. The stark reality of row after row after row of nearly identical headstones is always a chilling reminder of the indiscriminating nature of war, and the seemingly endless wages which it demands.
I usually spend some time reflecting on how different the world would be, if the countless casualties of wars gone by had been able to contribute in different, peaceful ways to society.
Finally, I always prey that we stop having new reasons to remember Memorial day.

Andy,
So happy to hear that. Would love to see photos if anyone takes some. Thanks to you and all those who have served. You make us proud.

John,
The rarely hear a thank you these days and are always surprised when it comes from a stranger. It is, however, always appreciated. Believe that!
